Here are the lyrics to a song that I wrote last summer. It's an up-tempo, and it's got a happy sound though the lyrics start in a darker place, because as you can see, toward the end it comes to a nice feel-good resolution. Enjoy--and sometime in 2009 you will probably hear the song itself right here on the blog. Stay tuned.

One Love to Another
(K. Hornyak)
Sometimes I feel like I just
Can't get out of this mess
'Cause I'm still so depressed
I've seen the dark side of life
Seen it too many times
Can't get back to the
Back to the light
You gave me
B-SECTION 1:
How do I even begin
To put me back together again
Seems like a lifetime since
I felt alright
CHORUS 1:
You know I leap from year to year
From phase to phase
One love to another
Then start over
I jump from path to path
From road to road
One love to another
Then start over
Some nights I dream of the past
Wake up and wish to go back
Wonder why it didn't last
Those dreams turn me into us
Take me back to the
Back to the love
I'm missing
B-SECTION 2:
How do I even explain
This loss is more than just pain
Seems like forever babe
Since we were young
CHORUS 2:
But still I leap from year to year
From phase to phase
One love to another
Then start over
I jump from path to path
From road to road
One love to another
Then start over
BRIDGE:
But finally I crave stability
Wondering what it's like to have security baby
I'm not the girl who ran from you
Who said to you
CHORUS 1
CHORUS 3:
No more leaping from year to year
From phase to phase
One love for each other
Back together
No longer jump from path to path
From road to road
One love for each other
Forever
