I don't think I've ever written about a TV show in the history of this blog, but today's the day. I started watching The Game a couple of months ago, got hooked, and ended up watching all three seasons in a matter of weeks. (Thank you BET for those blocks of reruns!)
It's been a long time since I have watched a sitcom, because generally I think the newer ones just don't hold a candle to the retro sitcoms... however The Game has broken through my high standards. Great writers, really talented cast... I kept thinking to myself, This should be an hour-long show.
Now with the possibility of it being cancelled, they are going to approach The CW with all the fans' messages on the show's message board and also try to get it changed from its half-hour format into a full hour show. If they succeed in that, it'll be the first time in history that a show has ever made that leap.
Here's the official video for the Change "The Game" Campaign so you can get involved this evening... tonight's the last night to make a difference, so if you are a fan of the show, pay attention to this:
They are almost up to 1 million posts on the message board. If you are a fan of the show, please join me in posting a message of support there, asking The CW to renew the show and even extend it to an hour.
Thanks guys. Sorry for the break from the usual--stay tuned for my "regularly scheduled programming" tomorrow... ;-)
