Keeping the connection alive

You guys are going to have to forgive me for the lack of updates recently! I've been a little Twitter-obsessed, but then again so has the rest of the world. It's nice to have the microblogging thing going on alongside the old fashioned blog, but when you neglect one for the other it's not such a good thing. I'm really missing the days when I was in touch with you guys on a daily basis, with feedback on every little thing. Remember that? The group on Yahoo, the message board... we had good times. I'm hearing a lot about Google Friend Connect so I'm thinking of setting that up here on the blog so we can get some good vibes flowing again. I've got so many things that I want to accomplish right here in 2009 and I want to make sure we are connected every step of the way. If you're reading this on a regular basis, I want to know you. Unless you're a lurker by nature, then I'm cool with that. :)

I'm really sick of the current layout here--although it's gorgeous to look at, it makes it difficult to find what you're looking for. There's not even a link to older posts at the end of each page. Notice that? Yikes. I'm going to go a little more basic in terms of looks and let the content speak for itself. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please throw them my way in a comment, an email, or on Twitter.

The well has been a bit dry lately in terms of poetry and songwriting. I'm frustrated with that, but it's no excuse for not posting things here--I've got plenty of stuff in the archives that has never seen the light of day. Tonight I've got a hot date with Uncle Sam, and yes I do mean taxes. Sigh. But tomorrow I'll share something with you--I see the small spike in traffic that I assume is coming from Twitter, and you deserve better blog posts than this one! So stay tuned. Grab that RSS feed or subscribe via email, or at least follow me on Twitter so you'll hear about the major updates here. Get connected one way or another.

Thank you as always for the support!
