Work for What You Wish For
Before and after, side by side... I have made wishes on many dandelions in my 35 years, watching the seeds blow away on a hopeful breath and praying that they were really carrying those wishes out into the universe to later come true. As a child, I believed in the pure magic of it. As an adult, I learned that you have to work for what you wish for. But I'd be lying if I said that none of my wishes ever came true without work on my part. The cosmos have had some delicious gifts in the cards for me. Not every piece of the puzzle fits my preconceived notions, but nature's provisions are always more than good enough, even if it doesn't seem that way at the time. I'll never stop wishing and I'll never stop believing in the magic, even if I do put a lot more effort behind those wishes these days.
