Disrupt the Night

Summer storm,
replete with rain,
with hail that threatens
to crack the panes.

Flashes light up the navy sky
and the ground takes the hit
like the champ that it is.

You sleep peacefully by my side
while I watch nature disrupt the night.

The warning will pass.
This all will pass.
All that truly lasts
is love.
